After being laid off during her own maternity leave, Texas mother, Heather Wright, created Good Things Houston Magazine offering work at home sales positions for other moms and dads in need of a flexible way to make money while parenting.
Heather Wright, owner of Red Phoenix Marketing and former automotive magazine publisher, has created an avenue for moms and dads to make money, contribute and stay connected to the community through a new local publication with a unique distribution concept.
Good Things Houston gives readers access to a valuable resource for local information while they are in one of the most undesirable circumstances; waiting. A travel sized magazine, Good Things Houston is distributed exclusively at physicians’ offices, auto service shops, salons and other business lobbies and waiting areas. The magazine includes stories on local interest, tips on health, fitness, lifestyle, fashion and beauty, as well as discounts from local businesses.
The heart of the magazine is to bring support and awareness to current issues, offering ways to save money, get healthy and raise a happy family right here in Houston! The Publisher also aims to give parents an income option who have nowhere else to turn due to the lack of reasonable maternity and paternity leave laws or viable work at home options.
